Dr Kevin Ross is General Manager of Precision Driven Health, and Director of Research at Orion Health. He is a leading figure in analytics and data science in New Zealand, having founded the New Zealand Analytics Forum, a community of over 2,000 professionals who apply analytics to solve government and business problems. Prior to joining Precision Driven Health, Kevin was Chief Scientist of Optimisation Modelling at Fonterra, where he led the development of analytics capability for product mix, asset investment and forecasting for New Zealand’s largest company. He was previously an Associate Professor of Technology and Information Management at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Principal Consultant for PA Consulting Group. He has worked across multiple sectors, including for NASA, Bell Labs, Eli Lilly and London Councils. Kevin holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a BSc(Hons) in mathematics from the University of Canterbury.
