Background:
Dendrite Clinical Systems Ltd is a UK headquartered clinical information systems company with a growing portfolio of hospital and national registry clients in New Zealand. Historically, local support for Dendrite software installations in New Zealand has been provided by a sole Project
Manager on‐the‐ground in New Zealand, who, working closely with the UK teams was responsible for both the Dendrite Cardiac Surgery hospital database installations and the National Adult Cardiac Surgery Registry. With an ever‐growing client base in New Zealand,
Dendrite is doubling up these roles and has already hired in a Project Manager to look after all its hospital implementations and we are now looking to recruit a dedicated Project Manager to focus solely on Dendrite National Registry implementation projects. The main priority will be to
very actively look after the Dendrite National Adult Cardiac Surgery Registry working closely with the New Zealand Cardiac Surgery Network, with an accessory role to act as primary liaison with the Dendrite National Breast Cancer Foundation and the New Zealand Trauma Network for their Dendrite national registries.
It is expected that this role will be 0.5 FTE and offers flexible working hours.
Responsibilities will include:
· Acting as a liaison link between the senior clinicians in charge of the New Zealand National Registries and the Dendrite Management team based in the UK.
· Preparing a detailed project plan and maintain close and regular communication with the Ministry of Health, Dendrite and the District Health Boards for the ongoing work schedule for the Dendrite/NZ National Adult Cardiac Surgery Registry and provide copies of reports to the Dendrite head office.
· Preparing monthly reports to summarise progress against the project plan for Dendrite and the Ministry of Health for the Cardiac Surgery Registry.
· Where required ‐ prepare user acceptance schedules with the implementation team to include milestones, standards of performance and conformance with legal requirements.
· Keep internal reports to summarise progress against the project plan for Dendrite and the Implementation team.
· Liaising also with the NZ National Trauma Network for the Dendrite/NZ National Trauma Registry
· Liaising also with the NZ Breast Foundation for the Dendrite/NZ National Breast Cancer Registry
· Providing contact reports for all face‐to face or Video teleconference meetings and sending these reports back to Dendrite’s national registry team in the UK
· Providing feedback about any outstanding support calls/issues to the users and summary reports to the Ministry of Health, the National Trauma Network and the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation and send these reports back to Dendrite’s national registry team in the UK.
· Work in tandem with Dendrite’s support person(s)in Australia & Dendrite’s Hospital Systems Project Manager in New Zealand and where possible to provide cross‐cover holidays and sickness as needed.
· Working with Dendrite’s support team in Australia and the UK and encouraging/ensuring that all national registry clients use the Dendrite call tracking system to report problems and track work delivered
· Following up with National Registry clients in New Zealand and the UK Support team to ensure all reported issues are resolved in a prompt manner
Communication with Dendrite personnel
Because of the UK‐New Zealand time difference and lack of regular face‐to‐face contact between the UK Dendrite team and the NZ National Registry clients, communication on the ground is going to be an essential element of the job. Weekly conference calls will be important so that Dendrite can effectively support the work the Project Manager is doing and any support issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently by Dendrite support teams in the UK, in Australia and in New Zealand.
