Clinical Informatics Leadership Award 2020

Clinical Informatics Leadership Award 2020

In 2020, the Clinical Informatics Leadership Network published a Clinical Informatics Position Statement, which details five key ways in which clinical informaticians bring value to the health sector. The Clinical Informatics Leadership Award 2020 is looking for a clinical informatician who best demonstrates this value.

To be eligible for the award you must be a member of the Clinical Informatics Leadership Network - this is open to anyone with a clinical background and an interest in data and/or digital. If the nominee is not a member, they can  apply to join. You can nominate yourself or others and you can nominate  more than one person.

All submissions will be judged by a 3-person panel consisting of MoH Deputy Director Data and Digital Shayne Hunter, NZ Health IT Chief Executive Scott Arrol and 2019 CiLN Award winner and HiNZ Board Chair Rebecca George, who will decide three finalists. A public vote to decide the winner will be held in October 2020 and the winner will be announced at a HiNZ networking event in November.

The winner will receive:

A free pass and a speaking slot, on a topic of their choice, at the 2021 HiNZ Conference in Wellington

Spark Health will provide up to $5000 in expenses for the winner to travel to an international conference of their choice or to fund further study.
