This is an open invitation to join NZHIT's DEHIG virtual session on Wednesday, October 6 at 11am
Alastair Kenworthy, Chief Standards Advisor, Data and Digital, Ministry of Health will be presenting:
The NZIPS Project
Normally a closed session we are opening the DEHIG to all NZHIT members next month. Come along and learn more about the NZIPS Project. We look forward to seeing you there.
NZIPS is our New Zealand take on the International Patient Summary (IPS), the ISO/HL7® FHIR® standard for a core personal health data set and its communication. Many countries are implementing the IPS, which was recognised this year by G7 health ministers as a key standard for health interoperability within and between countries. The Global Digital Health Partnership (GDHP), which we belong to, has made IPS implementation a priority for all members. In Aotearoa New Zealand, the IPS promises to spark innovation in unplanned care, patient record transfer, and consumer access to personal health information. Over time, the NZIPS will be extended to population health and public health use cases.
HISO is leading the work to develop an NZIPS specification for trial use by the end of the year. NZHIT members are invited to join a special interest group of implementers to review and help shape the specification as it develops.

Also presenting is Brad Pearpoint - MD, Advantage
Advantage – who they are and examples of security incidents they have dealt with!
